Memories

Ive thought a lot about this and decided to write it
I remember growing up and going to my nana's house or my grma's or aunts & the fun times with my cousins (lots of them) . We never fought or argued with each other... we played, laughed and had good times...
Now 40 yrs later its all changed.. cousins grew up, got married.. my nana & grandpa are gone & family has changed, distanced away..most of us still in same town  but no connection or contact .. yea my sister babysits our cousins kids but cause she lives close by and is cheaper than daycare or rearranging work schedule so could be home with mom or dad..
So i do wish sometimes that times hadnt changed and people were like they were ...close, fun and always together....

  1. Hi Annie,
Long time no writing on this blog. Sorry times have changed for you and the connection is gone. Things happened and people move though, all part of life I guess. Too bad you didn't live closer to all of us would make it easier in a small way.
God blessed me with this second chance thru Sonja, I tell her all the time and have thanked GOD mannnnnny times for this blessing of babysitting. It's brought me and Sonja closer then when we were kids and now we are friends. If I didn't babysit I would barely know her kids except for the major holiday's and that's it. Sonja called me because she wanted someone she could trust and if I'd say no she wouldn't have gone to work and just stayed home. I'm lucky to have had this chance with them.
I don't see Heather as often as you might think, we live close but both have our own things and busy days and she works a lot and the kids are with Curt most of the week.
We never fully connected with dad's side growing up, they still spend tons of time together and they did growing up. Since our parents were divorced and dad did his own thing back then we didn't get included in most of that so we still don't know.
Just the way life is I guess. Keep writing down memories in your journal so you will remember them. We were lucky to have a great family and a BIG family to love and grow up with.
    take care SIS....lol
